How You Work With Us to Have a Great Pond Project
Step-by-step How to Have a Successful Pond Project!
One of our overall pond project goals is to involve you in the process of designing and building your pond and watergarden project and really listen to what you  want. We want and need your opinions, likes and dislikes, and input! You can easily use our step-by-step checklist to ensure that your outdoor living project goes smoothly:
- Provide us with a copy of your home's plat or land survey that details property lines. This can be scanned or faxed to us.
- Send us any ideas of ponds that you like.
- Take digital photos of other ponds that you like and don't like to send to us.
- Look through magazines, books and the internet to find the "style" of landscaping and outdoor projects that you like. Is it French Country, Italian, Contemporary, Country, Mountain, New England, etc.?
- Fill out our Design Survey by clicking here and printing it out.
- Meet with one of our outdoor living or landscape designers at your house to discuss what you want to do with your project. Our designs cost $500 to $750 for either a front or back yard and $1,200 to $1,500 for a full yard.
- Set a budget! As an example to show you how the cost of materials vary, a 6-foot Japanese Maple tree can cost $500 to install and a 6-foot Cherry tree can cost just $100. They are both 6-foot flowering trees, but their costs are dramatically different!
- Visit plant nurseries with one of our designer's plant lists to determine what you like and don't like from our list!
- Allow the designer approximately 2-3 weeks to complete the design. All of our designs are custom and we do not like to "rush" the creative process so you are ensured that all of the elements you desire are included in the design.
Schedule time to review the final design and proposal with our team and then decide on a project timeline!
